Глюк в русском языке

Я наткнулся на забавный баг в родном языке.



Возьмём фразу "Все двадцать участников соревнований дошли до финиша".


Числительное можно менять: "Все сто пятьдесят семь участников...", "все три миллиона участников".

А вот теперь попробуйте подставить в эту фразу любое числительное, заканчивающееся на единицу. :)

Nope. Will — это модальный глагол, участвует в образовании будущего времени и выражает (примерно) уверенное намерение.
Желать чего-либо — to want или to wish. Вы перепутали глагол и существительное will, вот оно имеет значение „желание, воля“

at will he seemed to think he could walk in and out of my life at will: as one pleases, as one wishes, as one thinks fit, to suit oneself, at one's pleasure, at one's inclination/discretion, at whim.

2 God willed it: decree, order, ordain, command, direct; intend, wish, want.

Will 2 v. — крайне интересно. Впервые встречаю его в подобном значении. Что у вас за словарь? Хотя God willed it, да...

Учитывая, что изначально мы рассматривали фразу „I will win“, в которой используется именно модальный глагол will 1, я считаю, что ваш первый комментарий в данном контексте неверен.
